After the consultation / chat, the therapist will show you into the treatment room and leave you to get ready.
If you’ve booked a partial massage you should remove sufficient clothing to allow access to the relevant parts of your body eg: for a back massage, remove all tops / t-shirts etc and women should remove their bras. For a full body massage, most clients prefer to leave their knickers on which is absolutely fine. Please also remove all jewellery. Once you’ve disrobed, climb up onto the couch and cover yourself with the towels available.
Your therapist will uncover the area to be treated - and apply massage oil. She will then work through a series of massage movements. If you are having a full body massage, your therapist will cover an area once completed and then move on. Please let your
therapist know if there is something you specifically like or dislike or if her pressure needs to be softer or firmer.
Many clients find their massage or Reiki treatment so relaxing that they fall asleep. Please don't worry - your therapist will continue your treatment and wake you when necessary.
Once your treatment has concluded, your therapist will give you a glass of water and leave the room to allow you to get dressed. When you are ready, your therapist will rejoin you to discuss the treatment. You shouldn't suffer any ill effects from massage but do try and drink plenty of water during the rest of the day to help your body flush out toxins.
