Reiki treatments are conducted on clients whilst fully clothed. After your consultation, the therapist will show you to the treatment room and ask you to remove anything constricting like belts as well as shoes and jewellery. She will then help you to get up onto the treatment table and cover you with blankets to make sure you stay warm.
We practice hands-on Reiki. Your therapist will move around your body placing her hands on specific points relating to major organ systems and your body's energy chakras. Her hands will rest there for
up to five minutes and she will then move on. At no point will the therapist touch any intimate area.
Many clients experience physical sensations of warmth and tingling during a Reiki treatment. Many fall asleep. Some clients experience an emotional release or feel that they have to talk or laugh. Others feel very little at all. Whatever your response, please know that it is entirely normal and that your therapist understands without judgement.
We strongly recommend that you try and book your Reiki treatment for a time when you know that you will be able to relax afterwards.
Reiki promotes healing and helps the body to recover its equilibrium. For some this may mean a detoxification process takes place over the few days following your treatment.
